Do you take insurance?
Yes. Current accepted insurances include: Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Optum, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. We use ALMA for the majority of our insurance billing. You may receive an email from ALMA in regards to verifications and payments. ALMA is one of BBBHealth's billing services utilized for insurance payments. If you receive an email from ALMA regarding a co-pay or owed payment, you can pay that directly with ALMA for your convenience. For more info, click here. Blue Cross claims will be done through the patient portal rather than ALMA.
Someone else prescribed me medications, will you continue them??
Usually yes. If they are controlled medications I may choose not to. I will perform an assessment to determine if these medications are the best course of treatment.
What are your self-pay fees?
Psychiatric evaluation is $225
Follow-up medication session is $120
1 hour psychotherapy session is $150
Are we able to meet face-to-face?
Currently no. This office is entirely telemedicine at the moment.
Are there cancelation fees?
Yes. You are responsible for the entire self-pay fee if you cancel a session within 24 hours of the appointment. The only exception is a true emergency which documentation may be requested.
If I am on medication, how often will we meet?
If you are stable on medications we can meet every 3 months unless you would prefer to meet more frequently. This is the frequency necessary to monitor medication treatment from the perspective of both efficacy and safety.
